Task : To reinvent Fairmont's asian restaurant Ba make it a fun, approachable and an instagrammable venue. So what does ba mean? The actual meaning of ba which is chinese number 8 however that fact is only known to a few.
Research: showed that an old province in china was named Ba. This state of Ba worshipped the tiger and legend has it that the king of Ba upon his death turned into the spirit of the white tiger.
The white tiger, fierce exotic animal having extreme important is ancient asian mythology is used to represent the delicious bold flavours of the restaurant and hence ba becomes an acronym for boldly asian
The first touch point of the restaurant the reception desk. we retained the pre existing desk and added an asian styled tiger in gold vinyl on mirror finished sheet to the old wooden table.

Instagram wall idea. A simple wallpaper with an umbrella stick.
Regular service doors were covered with film designed in asian art style
so this works both in utility to hide the server movements and add decor value to the venue.
